High Chief/Elder Richard Anyanwu

High Chief/Elder Richard Chibuna Anyanwu is a bonafied indigen of Umuoghuru Village in Umueze Chokoneze Autonomous Community, he is married to Chief (Mrs) Adanma Gertrude Anyanwu and all together they have six children.

He is a Christian, an ordained Baptist Deacon and Minister in the United States of America, an ordained Elder of The Apostolic Church Igbo Field Nigeria. A veteran of the United States Army. He is among the first Mbaise sons and daughter to serve honorably in the United States Army.

A graduate of the United States Army Academy of Health Sciences and other military schools. An astute Nurse Educator and Practitioner. A renowned philanthropist of international repute.

Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of MAHAFA ( Medical And Humanitarian Aid For Africa), a US based Non-profit Organization which he founded with his wife Chief (Mrs) Adanma Gertrude Anyanwu (Omekadisieme).Since the inception of MAHAFA, Thirty Four medical missions and palliative relief to Africa (Mbaise, Ngor Okpala, Mbano, Obowo, Owerri), have been completed and thousands of lives have been saved. Numerous number of widows have been empowered with financial assistance enabling them to start small or petty businesses. Many young men and women have been given scholarships for higher institutions.
